Membership of the Network is free to anyone who owns, manages, curates, carries out research or is in another way connected with Cold War heritage in the UK.
The Network offers the following benefits:
- Face-to-Face Events: Two face-to-face events each year at various Cold War sites. These events include guided tours, educational talks, and networking opportunities for attendees.
- Online Events: At least four online events each year to engage a broader audience who may not be able to attend other events in person. These include virtual tours, webinars, and interactive sessions with experts in Cold War history.

- Support for Local Meetings: Resources and support to help members organise local meetings, enhancing grassroots engagement and community involvement.
- National Cold War Event: Our flagship national event each May, focusing on a comprehensive program of activities that promote Cold War heritage and education.
- Newsletters: Monthly newsletters keep members and stakeholders informed about past activities and upcoming opportunities, as well as updates, educational content, opportunities for collaboration, and highlights from Cold War research and sites.
- Supporting Member Partnerships: We facilitate and support the creation of partnerships and collaborative projects among members to leverage collective strengths and resources.
- Funding Initiatives: We submit and support research funding and heritage grant applications to support educational initiatives, engagement in Cold War heritage, and promotion of Cold War events and attractions.
- Joining International Networks: As a national network we represent the UK with networks in other countries with similar aims, objectives, and memberships to explore the potential for joint projects, sharing best practice and facilitating international networking between members.
