During National Cold War Heritage Week, visitors can head to the Royal Signals Museum to experience its immersive exhibition, The Cold War, in the Shadow of the Bomb. This interactive display brings to life the global tensions that followed the end of the Second World War, exploring the ideological conflict between East and West and the ever-present threat of nuclear war.
Through personal testimonies, objects, and engaging displays, the exhibition highlights the vital and often unseen role of the Royal Corps of Signals, whose communications expertise was crucial during this high-stakes period. Visitors will gain insight into both the military front line and the voices of protest at home, offering a powerful perspective on a defining era of modern history.
