The Cold War Network CIC is seeking new applicants for its Board of Directors to help guide the organisation through strategic development, community engagement, and heritage preservation during an exciting period of growth.
Although this is a voluntary role, it offers genuine impact. As a Board member, you will provide strategic oversight and help shape the future of Cold War heritage preservation and public engagement.
About Us
CWN is the UK’s leading hub for academics, heritage professionals, researchers, media producers and Cold War site managers and curators. As a Community Interest Company, our work is driven by a single purpose: protecting and promoting Cold War heritage for the benefit of our membership and the wider community who have stakeholdership in Cold War Heritage.
What you will bring:
- Experience in financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, or stakeholder management
- The confidence to exercise independent judgment at Board level
- A strong commitment to transparency, integrity, and public benefit
- An interest in Cold War heritage (specialist knowledge is welcome but not essential)
- A willingness to take on agreed roles and responsibilities and to lead areas of our work. As a small organisation Directors need to be willing to spend approximately 2 hours per week on related activity and to attend monthly meetings.
